Aidar Omar was born and raised in Kazakhstan (located in Central Asia, former USSR republic). As a teenager he got a glimpse of American songbook through the song "When I Fall in Love" by Nat King Cole, from a various artists CD his mother had purchased. This CD made a big musical impression on Aidar that still stays with him.

As he was growing up his interests were mostly in sciences and technology. Math and physics were his favorite subjects. He graduated from Almaty Math High School. After that, he received a scholarship from the Illinois Institute of Technology. So he went to Chicago and got his bachelor and master degrees in aerospace engineering. He then transitioned to software engineering and moved to the San Francisco Bay area and later to Silicon Valley. All this time, his love and desire for music was always in the foundation of his heart.

Growing up Aidar loved singing along with Stevie Wonder and Luciano Pavarotti. These were two of his favorite artists at the time. When he came to California, Aidar rediscovered Nat King Cole and instantly remembered how much he loved listening to him as a child. These fond memories, and his strong urge to sing, inspired him to start taking voice lessons. He began studying with Maestro Dietrich Erbelding, an expert in classical music and opera.

When Aidar heard Frank Sinatra for the first time, he was inspired and amazed with Frank’s smooth voice and remarkable phrasing. Tunes such as "I've got a crash on you", "My funny Valentine" and many more had a strong impact on Aidar’s musical taste. Instantly American Songbook became his favorite music style. The great American Songbook repertoire and artists were his major musical influence. Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, and Tony Bennett all became his musical focus. He crafted his own unique style after these greats. In his country, Kazakhstan, during the communist regime (50's through 80's), Jazz and Swing were severely frowned upon, so people rarely had an opportunity to listen to one of America's biggest exports… music.

Aidar, and his unique crooning style, is becoming a musical force to be reckoned with. His first three released songs, Forever Mine, Give My Love To You, and You’re My Everything, show a sincere, heartfelt, style unheard before. Currently Aidar is in the studio working on his debut album. Each original song expresses the emotions and passions of love, their beautiful melodies and sincere lyrics can move the hearts and imaginations of listeners of all ages and tastes.
